Got the China made boots in October. Been wearing them at work for 8 months now. I drive a truck and work in extremes of climates. From middle eastern 130F heat to midwestern USA -30 I have put these boots thru.
Sole barely has any wear, the leather is soft like a fine glove. Still waterproof with the kiwi wax once a month. Will take a spit shine.
Now the bad parts. The factory laces are junk. The laces are hard to get tight. The leather has stretched around the upper ankle and no longer provides good support when walking on rocks. The heel material inside the boot is like some kind of paper. Has worn out.
Suggest ordering 1/2 size smaller than what you normally use. The leather will stretch out to make the proper fit instead of becoming too loose if you get the normal size.
My second pair of Doc Marten boots. Not as good quality as the American made Wolverine or Red Wing boots, but then again those brands are not made in the USA anymore and suffer from China quality syndrome as well.
For serious work boots, order the American or UK made boots. The long life of those boots will repay you many times over.

These are my first pair of Doc's. I bought the black leather pair and they are gorgeous boots. Very comfortable, look great on and off. The only problem I have is that I ordered a UK size 8, which is marked as a US Women's size 10, which is what I normally am, but these boots have to be atleast a size 11. Maybe 11.5. So id recommend you order a size down than you normally wear. Other than that, I LOVE the boots and shipping was amazing! I received my package within 2 days, and im in Canada! I have another pair coming and I cant wait to get them. :)

So I submitted an order for those wonderful lime green Doc Martens. I love the brand and used to wear them all the time in high school. I decided to go back to my roots and get a pair and I fell in love with those green ones. So I placed my order but then the little icon next to my order showed dark green boots and not the lime ones. So I e-mailed customer servce to ask about the color. Apparently the wonderful green color here is not what they have, they have the ugly hunter green. And then I came back on amazon to look for another color but apparently they haven't taken down the false information on here even though they now know the colors don't agree. I know this is done through another vendor but amazon should really pay attention who puts what information on this site. This is the first time I am trully dissapinted with amazon for letting this seller keep false information posted on their site.

I have ordered this boot several times and for some reason the ones I just got are already falling apart. The sole on one of them is splitting. I don't know if it is just defective but I have emailed Shoemania and are hoping they will replace it with a new pair. I have always been please with Dr. Martens quality in the past but I am very disapointed this time. My husband wears these to work and has for at least the last ten years. Hopefully this is just an isolated incident.
